Serving is a vital part of the Christian life. We want everyone at SonRise to have the opportunity to serve God in an area where God has gifted them. Our goal is to help you connect your passion to serve with opportunities that make a difference.
Children
On Sunday mornings we need teachers and helpers for the nursery, POINT, KidStuff, and in The Zone.
When: Sunday mornings
How Often: From once per week to once every other month.
We also need help in AWANA on Wednesday nights where teachers and helpers for each class are always in demand. Recreation leaders direct the game time for each group inside our gym.
When: Wednesday 6:15-7:30pm

Front Door Ministry
Parking Lot Greeter - Greet guests as they arrive while helping them find a parking spot. You will be the first smiling face our guests will see.
Golf Cart Driver - Shuttle guests from their cars to the front doors.
Front Door Greeters - Greet guests as they arrive and help them find where they are going.
Guests Information Table - Share information and a gift bag with guests. Collect their contact information so that we can follow up during the week.
When: Sunday 8:45-10:15am

Hospitality
The SonRise Café is open every Sunday morning from 8:30-10:00am. The team prepares coffee, juice, donuts, biscuits, and sometimes even brings a few homemade treats. Other opportunities to serve include a leader’s lunch after worship on the third Sunday of each month, lunch for Starting Point on the 4th Sunday of each month, and several church wide gatherings each year.

Technology
FOH Sound - The front of house sound engineer controls the live mix for all audio needs on a Sunday morning.
TV Sound - The TV sound engineer manages a multi-track recording in Apple Logic of each musician and vocalist. They also run a traditional mixing board that provides audio to in house televisions in the lobby and nursery areas. Help is also needed in mixing down the multi-track recording for broadcast each week.
Lighting - The lighting operator controls all lights in the house and on stage during worship. Help is also needed during the week in programming the lights for each worship time.
Video Switcher - Directs and mixes 3 cameras using a live video switcher while working to capture the spirit of each worship expeience that is broadcast to our television audience.
Camera - Three cameras are used to capture the worship experience that is broadcast over television each week.
Graphics - One person runs ProPresenter to provide lyrics and graphics to the congregation during worship and sermon notes during the message. A second person runs PowerPoint to provide a teleprompter for the band.
